Yes and no. The art for the book came in way late and it was a huge crunch to get it done. So, I colored it all up, uploaded full-size files and sent smaller jpegs to the editors so they could give me corrections. One of those corrections was the boot on this page. I went through and fixed everything the editors told me to, but it was so down to the wire that I think the production guys forgot to check the server for my new corrected files and sent the old ones instead. It was pretty dissapointing to discover after working with practically no sleep for days trying to make the book as good as I could in very little time, but I understand how it happened. Next time, I won't bother uploading any files until they're all the corrected and approved versions so this can't happen again.

I think that's one of the coolest looking Batmans I've ever seen. And your colors are absolutely mind-blowing!!

How did you approach the backgrounds on these? Were they drawn in? It seems like they have the benefit of not having any contour lines. How did that desicion come about?
